May I introduce myself to you.
I am 87 years old and been
a webmaster for over ten year. Mostly for Flea Markets and
Small Businesses. My mission is to provide quality
websites and Internet services for an affordable annual fee. |
I was born in Charlotte, North Carolina in January 14, 1923 and
hope to live until the year 2023. The Streets were not
paved (dirt) within six blocks of the square. I was
borne on 900 block of North Pine near 11th Street.
I have lived in Charlotte
all my life except four years in the U.S. Navy, I spent two of
the four in the South Pacific, and was with the first offense
battle at Tarawa.
In 1944 when I returned to
Charlotte, I met my wife Peggy Reed that lived within six block
of where I lived before I went in the Navy and we had never met
until I returned from service.
We were married in 1948 and
have only one child, Sandra, was born in 1950 married to Wayne
Montague. Wayne is an only child, so their children have
no aunts or uncles or first cousins. She is the Minister
of Families and Children at the First Baptist Church of
Charlotte and she has a son, Andy, and a daughter, Elizabeth.
After I returned to
Charlotte, I worked as a car repo man for a finance company, a
Bell Hope at the Hotel Charlotte, and a news butch on the train
from Charlotte to Washington, D.C., then opened a used car lot
on North Tryon at 11th Street. I took a job as Executive
Director for the Carolinas Independent Auto Dealers Association
from about 1979 until 1984. Then I organized the N.C.
Pawnbrokers Association and published a magazine, Today's
Pawnbroker and sold it to a New York Publishing Firm.
Then, I found the National
Flea Market Association and was executive director until 2002
and retired to start a website business for small businesses.
I developed websites to
promote websites, such as
www.CharlotteBusiness.net to promote small businesses in
Charlotte, and
www.FindaFleaMarket.com to promote the Flea Market Industry.
Now, I am helping a lady
promote a Wholesale Newspaper,
www.WholesaleNewspaperOnline.com and have developed
www.GreaterTradeSolutions.com to promote
www.GreatTradeSolutions.com
After being married to
Peggy for 62 years, she wants me to slow down,
but I don't know how.
I have a sign over my
computer that says "The day we cease to dream is the day we
begin to die." and I am not ready to die.
