It is my prayer that in some way
this site will bring every
person that visits a blessing.
Blessings come in many ways, it
could be something as simple as
a smile or laughter that will
brighten your day, or some form
of good news. I believe it is a
blessing everyday just to be
alive.
I have been asked to share with
you some of the 88 years of my
life. At first I was reluctant
because I did not consider that
events in my life would be
beneficial or interesting.
Still, at the persistence and
encouragement of a friend, I
decided to provide some things
about my life that may help
someone from the faith I have
for why I do things. I believe
with all my heart and sole, that all that
I have ever done, all that I am
doing now, and all that I will
ever do, will be for the glory of  God
and with His blessings.

All my life, I have
been an entrepreneur. After
serving four years in the US Navy in the
South Pacific during world war II
I returned to Charlotte, NC,
and in 1948 married Peggy Reed
and we have one daughter, Sandra.
She married Wayne Montague and
they have two children, the boy,
Andy is an abstract Artist and
a girl, Elizabeth is studying to be a Doctor.

I was a bellman at the Barringer
Hotel and Hotel Charlotte, also,
was a bartender and short order cook
and a news butch on a train.

In the 1950s I was
part owner and operator of a
finance company..

In 1957, I was one of the
founders of the CAROLINAS CLOWNS.
A Group of Businessmen in
Charlotte, North Carolina, we would
dress up as clowns and visit
shut-ins and hospitals to
entertain children. We also went
to nursing homes to visit the
senior citizens and they loved
us. The Clowns are still very
active and now have many lady clowns.

 In the 1960s and
1970s, I owned and operated an
Independent Automobile
Dealership.
In 1979, I became the Executive
Director of the Carolinas
Independent Automobile Dealers
Association until my retirement
in 1985. In 1986, I founded the
Carolinas Pawnbrokers
Association and published the
Today's Pawnbroker magazine
that I sold to a New York publisher
and it is still the number one
Pawnbroker magazine.
I also published the
Business Under the Balls,
a how-to open and operate a Pawn Shop.

In 1987 was Executive Director
of the National Association of the
Remodeling Industry in 1988 the North
Carolina Auto Leasing
Association, in 1993 the
National Barbeque Association,

In 1998 I founded the Nation Flea Market Association,
and served as Executive Director until 2003.

In 2003, I founded and served as President of the
Small Business Association and developed an
Internet Service for Flea Markets with the website,
www.FindaFleaMarket.com as a search engine
for locating a flea market in all States.

In January 2011, I will be 88 years old
and will continue an active life as a consultant
and provide personal services.
